Adoptive families highlight the need for adopting teens in new public service advertisements

Today there are nearly 114,000 children and teens in foster care waiting for the love and stability that a permanent family provides. And each year, almost 20,000 young people age out of care without a family, or other kind of permanency.

That’s why the Children’s Bureau, in partnership with AdoptUSKids and the Ad Council, is shining a spotlight on teen adoption.

We’ve done this for nearly twenty years. But this year is special. While the ads have always been inspired by real stories, the 2023 public service advertisements don’t feature actors. Instead, real parents and youth share about their adoption journeys—In. Their. Own. Words.

Share our new public service advertisements with your friends and family. You can also hear from more foster and adoptive families on this blog:
